We could print these. We don't. Every Statement Decor pillow is chain-stitch embroidered, trimmed, and finished by hand in a 600 sq ft studio in Greenpoint.

Sketch the joke
Every pillow starts as a Notes app screenshot. We argue about wording for at least three days before anything gets cut.

Digitize the lettering
Our in-house letterer turns the final phrase into a chain-stitch path, hand-tuning every kern so the embroidery machine reads it cleanly.

Source the fabric
Belgian linen from a fourth-generation mill, Italian cotton velvet, and trims from a tiny notions shop in the Garment District.

Embroider in small batches
Runs of 40 at a time on a vintage Cornely machine. Every pillow is inspected under daylight before it leaves the table.
- 05
Trim, cord, and finish
Piping is hand-applied. Hidden zippers, French seams, and a down-feather insert that holds its shape past three move-outs.
- 06
Wrap and ship
Each order is tied with grosgrain ribbon and a handwritten note. Shipped carbon-neutral from Brooklyn.
