Started with a Treat Yo Self on Etsy.

Statement Decor started in 2022 on a folding table in a Brooklyn apartment with one embroidery machine, two cats with strong opinions about textile choices, and a single pillow that said "Treat Yo Self." It sold out in three days.

Four years later we're still small, still in Brooklyn, and still convinced that home decor should make you laugh out loud — preferably in front of guests. Every pillow is hand-finished in our studio in small batches, using washed linens, cotton velvets, and chain-stitch embroidery techniques that take longer than they should and look better for it.

Our designs come from group chats, screenshots, song lyrics, and that one thing your aunt said at Thanksgiving. If a phrase has lived rent-free in your head for more than a season, we'll probably put it on a pillow.
